Business and Financial Manager

(Slovenia, or USA – remote)

SciNote LLC is looking for a Business and Financial Manager to join an international team of scientists, software developers and creative business thinkers. This is a full-time position based in Ljubljana, Slovenia or USA (remote).

You will be working directly under the COO and provide crucial insight into our business performance, while proposing solutions for process optimization and organization-wide changes. You will closely monitor the company’s financial performance and identify related risks and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor company-wide KPIs
Create and manage easy-to-use, scalable and effective dashboards / reporting solutions
Monitor the company’s financial & business performance
Perform financial controlling activities
Perform cost-benefit analyses for different projects / initiatives
Prepare detailed analyses & reports for various stakeholders
Prepare financial models for forecasting and projections
Suggest pricing and business model changes
Suggest process improvements
Supporting any due diligence process
Automate and improve business processes
Document business processes
Analyze business and market trends
Perform competitive benchmarking
Recognize cost-effective & sustainable opportunities to drive the company’s growth
Identify and resolve various business issues
Make data-informed recommendations
Collaborate with other departments to improve company performance

Requirements:

Expert-level analytical and financial modeling skills
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
Basic programming/scripting knowledge in any language
Basic knowledge of relational databases (Can write simple select queries)
Workflow automation and optimization
Understanding of corporate finance concepts
Ability to communicate complex matters in a simple way
Great presentation and reporting skills
Efficiency, good time management and prioritization
Decision-making ability
Entrepreneurial & problem-solving mindset
Collaboration skills for working with different departments and customers
Technical diligence and attention to detail
