SciNote LLC is looking for an IT administrator to join an international team of scientists, software developers, and creative business thinkers. This is a full-time position based in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
You will be working directly under the Head of QA. You’ll be responsible for the implementation, improvements and maintenance of cloud systems and applications. You will be maintaining current internal software, implementing new software and systems, managing user identities and setting up permission policies and groups. You will be advocating cybersecurity and taking care of implementing different security mechanisms with the help of experts. You will also be in charge of ordering and maintaining laptops and other electronic equipment.

IT Administrator: Key tasks and responsibilities
- Internal applications account administration
- Identity and device management
- Involvement in the onboarding and offboarding of employees (regarding accounts and equipment)
- Establishing connections to and from various cloud applications
- Defining and implementing policies for cloud-based systems
- Clearly communicating with IT and non-IT professionals to ensure effective use of all services
- Setting up new (mostly cloud) applications/systems
- Researching and ordering electronic equipment
- Equipment maintenance, replacement
- Equipment and application troubleshooting
- Migrating data to new tools and researching the best options
- Proposing improvements in processes, methods and tools in the direction of greater efficiency in the company
- Advocating cybersecurity continuous improvement, and industry-recognized best practices
- Investigating internally reported security incidents
- Implementing security mechanisms and improving the company’s general security posture
IT Administrator: Knowledge & skills needed
- Experience with setup up and management of cloud software
- Experience with basic computer maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience with setting up SSO, MFA and other security mechanisms
- Experience with identity management and device management
- Experience with ordering laptops and other electronic devices
- Technical diligence and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Creative and critical thinking
- Efficiency, good time management, and prioritization
- Excellent knowledge of English
- Self-initiative and eagerness for learning new things and self-improvement
