Zebra print integration with SciNote: print labels with ease

Connect a Zebra label printer

SciNote supports label printing with Zebra label printers through the Zebra Browser Print application. Before printing labels from SciNote using Zebra label “Follow the steps below for connecting a Zebra label printer printers, you will need to install Zebra Bowser Print on the computer you would like to print labels from. This is the case even if your label printer is a network or Wi-Fi printer.

Not all the Zebra label printers support the Zebra Browser Print technology, so make sure to check the list of supported printer models on the official Zebra Browser Print web page before starting.

A few things to keep in mind when connecting a Zebra label printer:

  • If you want to print labels from SciNote using different computers, you will have to follow this process on each computer the Zebra printer is connected to.
  • Label printing from SciNote uses Zebra’s Browser Print technology, which is different from existing Zebra printer drivers. Therefore, even if your Zebra printer is already installed and connected to your computer, you will still need to install Zebra Browser Print to connect the printer to print from SciNote.
  • When you print labels from SciNote for the first time, you will need to allow the browser to connect to Browser Print. After that, this permission for SciNote to use Browser Print will be recorded in Browser Print as an “Accepted Host.” If you right-click on the Browser Print icon, select “Settings,” and check the “Accepted Hosts” section, your SciNote domain should be listed there.
  • For the most accurate label preview, the label preview settings and the printer should be set to the same resolution (dpi). If you are not sure about your label printer resolution, contact your IT administrator.
